Thunderstorm

On Monday as night fell, clouds gathered and the sky roared with thunder. It continued throughout the night. We slept restlessly.

In the morning we found Jack, our beloved guinea pig, had died. Bryan cried and cried. He would not be consoled. He told me he didn't want another guinea pig. The heartbreak was too much to bare.

On Tuesday the sun came out then went away, as another tragedy befell our family. Grampy day, the children's sacred day with their grandfather and cousins was cancelled.

The reasons were confusing and differed from source to source.

Now is the time between storms when we quietly take stock and gather strength.
