Spring

Now that spring has arrived I get daily bouquets of dandelions from our yard from Breeanna. She sweetly picks them with them with the utmost care and presents them to me tenderly. We wrap a ribbon around them. And they make a lovely bouquet.

Last week Chris, my ex-husband had a business trip and was gone for the week. I called him so the children could talk to their dad. Here was the gist of their conversation:

Breeanna: "Dad, what does a cow wear when it's cold?"

Chris: "What?"

Breeanna: "An underwear!"

So Chris an Breeanna continued for five minutes on what various animals wear when it's cold.

Bryan brought in his A ever on his report card! It was in writing.

Bryan's friend, Hanna, who is doing a pig for her 4-h project has named her baby pig, Bacon Bits. She must walk it in a circle for the county fair in August.

I have discovered the secret to happiness, an orchid at the kitchen sink. It gives you an incredible sense of peace and appreciation and wonderment when you are washing the dishes. It's like having a puppy stare at you.
